James Gorman, Alpine Photographer

Growing up I always had a propensity for art and photography, but never fell in love with a subject nor medium. Nothing could ever captivate me for long, and I struggled to the point of pursuing other careers. That all changed the first time I set eyes on Glacier National Park. I became obsessed with the parks majesty and capturing that fleeting beauty. A few friends aided in my exploration, taking me to the peaks from which I will never return. No view will ever surpass that of Glacier's tallest peaks, and it's given me the chance to capture so much more than a photo.

Since then I've climbed some of the tallest, and most technical peaks in the park, and have done my very best to capture the scene and it's emotional response. I want to bring to you not only the view, but also the same sense of awe that one of these peaks gives me. Thank you so much for your interest in my work, please enjoy my Glacier National Park Fine Art Photography.
